Baltimore Canyon sat-sun
headed to the baltimore late saturday morning with a 3 man crew. Started trolling on a temp break on the 40 line. around the 50 line near the tip, had a fish hit hard on a moldcraft bally combo. it dove hard on us so we figured it was a big tuna. 15 minutes later, the fish surfaced near the boat... big white marlin jumping all over the place. we released it and continued trolling until dark with a few big mahi and a couple wahoo bite-offs before sunset. setup overnight and had a fast drift that put us from 150 fathoms to 60 fathoms in minutes. once on the flats of the west wall, the drift slowed. at 10:30 a chunk at 120ft started clicking... 15 minutes later we released a sword. borderline legal size so we let it go. next morning we picked up more mahi and had a missed wahoo during a 30 minute high speed trolling session (8-9 knots). headed back to the dock at 11:30. seas were choppy (around 4-5feet on saturday and nicer overnight). the water temp was 66 on the cool side and 68.8 on the warm. sword was in 60 fathoms.

Thanks for the report. Surprised to hear of the white in the cooler water. Nice work.
