what is the most durable paint to use for luremaking?

I make my own lures and sqwitches and i want to start making my own lead heads instead of having to buy each one. I know its a minimal cost, but I make a lot of lures and would like to get more creative. Besides, i love this hobby, nothing's better than catching fish with a lure you created with your own thoughts and hands.

can i use the same paint on a lead head as i can on a cedar plug?
