Bad day to be a Mahi

Well I took my little girl out Sunday on her very first offshore trip. We faught the rain and wind until about 10. It was raining so hard, we couldn't find the dang weedline. Finally I stumbled across one and we got a fish. Then another. Then a double and kept at until we had a mess.

She got to see them swarming, and got to see a log covered in triggerfish and other life.

Worst part of the day was the rain and the fact that the lucky frog that was hopping around in the boat all day, finally jumped into the water committing suicide. Oh well there are only 1000 more at the house.

Best part of the day was she performed flawless. You all better watch out in the barta next year, there's a new kid in town.

    Great job

How old is your daughter? I can't wait until mine are a little older and I can take them off shore. I know its a great feeling when you can include the kids in your activities.

    Have a great day

That is grat hopefully she is hooked. You probably could have made one of those credit card priceless commercials at the end of the day. Good luck on many more successful trips with the kids.

She turned 11 a few weeks ago. I have been taking her spanish/blue fishing and we did some bonita fishing earlier in the year.

I think she is ready for a big winter bluefin now. Well maybe not yet on that one, but she definetly is ready to ride along on that one to be our cheerleader.
