i have two of the smallest little avets they make. the mx series i think?
i love them, but i know a buddy of mine that have 2 of the 4/0w models , and i think they are an insanely nice reel, especially for the money, but the clicker B L O W S bigguns

1) its WAY to damn quiet
2)its two small
3) WHEN YOU CRANK THE HANDLE IT TURNS OFF! i hate that.

when we kingfish from piers, we are constantly reeling in slack, and fidling with our reels. and when my buddy goes to the pierhouse and says " watch my reel, ill be back in a few"
i got to watch it.

so when i see slack in his line and go to reel it in, i forget that it turns the clicker off.

i love my tiagra. tiagra imho is one of the best reels out there. tough as nails, and is just one of the best reels ive ever used. let alone owned.

and when my clicker on my tiagra 20 goes screaming off. you HEAR IT. no doubt.

30's and 50's are even louder, love the sound of them.

avet should really consider changing their clickers in that line of their reels. but they are awesome reels, especially for the money.

you'd think with all that technology, they would make a better clicker.

to me, that kinda proves that they did not field test it alot.

just my 0.02$

Jessie,
The auto clicker dis-engage can easily be modified (fixed). take the left cover off and remove our all too favorite clivker button. you will notice 1 or 2 tits that makes the clicker auto disengage. get a dremel tool and grind the tits down and it won't automatically disengage any more.

The EXW4/0 clicker button is a PIA. Otherwise my favorite reels. None of the other reels have that style clicker. The new 30's have the clicker switch like the 50's.
