Hey everyone,
I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy changing jobs and moving anyway, between jobs I was able to get over to Bimini with my parents for a few days. Here is the report:
We left Port Everglades to absolutely perfect conditions. We stopped at a weed patch about 12 miles out and caught a couple of schoolie dolphin for dinner. We decided to leave them and truck on for Bimini.
30 miles out, we ran across a school of what had to be 200 porpoise. Trolled them a little while hoping for a far shot tuna. No luck. We got on a half plane so they could play in our bow wake.
Got in about 4pm and cleared customs and got in our room. We cooked up the dolphin that night for dinner.
There was no pelagics to speak of when we were there. The yellowtails were on fire but we didnt bring anything for those. I had been to Bimini multiple times for work but never got to see the snorkeling or scuba side of things there because I was fishing all day everyday. This trip was more about relaxing and seeing the other sites there. Here are some shots of some of the sites:

Honeymoon Harbor:
Gun Cay Lighthouse:
Had to pickup a case of the good stuff to bring home:

Its a good thing lobster season started when we were there so we had something to eat!
Anyway, I am no longer employed as a captain so I am back to the weekend warrior status.
