Yes, you can pick up in OC. If you are in the Mid-Atlantic region, ground shipping takes one day, same as overnight shipping, and is free. Any faster shipping will be charged accordingly. I will fix that link now. It is best to call to order since my cart might tack on some shipping, which would be refunded when the order is processed. It is even better to pay and pick up at the OC store. We also have stock in Annapolis, but smaller quantities, mostly packs. We can arrange for cases to be picked up in Annapolis, as well.

Seriously guys, Alltackle opens at 4am in Oc and always has a good supply of Ballys ready to go. How can we not support a local store willing to go the extra mile for the fishermen. Plus not only do they have great Baitmaster Ballys they have everything else you could need for a day offshore right there ready to go. If you don't fish out of OC and don;t have this kind of service available to yo then I guess you do what you have to do but I know I don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience of having a fully stocked offshore store open before I leave the docks.

Have you gotten your order in yet from Baitmasters? I know they've delayed some recent stuff for whatever reason. Any idea when they caught the ballyhoos they're shipping right now? October is what ive heard.

Yes, we are sitting on approx. 50 cases of various sizes. The bait is beautiful - the best we have ever had and is stored at minus 15 degrees in Ocean City. We also have packs in Annapolis. The bait we have was caught in October. I can't comment on when Baitmasters current batch of ballyhoo was caught.

Everybody wants winter caught bait, however, the fleet fishes from September to August each year and that bait goes into cold storage until it is sold. Regardless, I have found that Baitmasters ballyhoo is consistantly way better than most others. We also sell Bionic which we buy direct which is also very good. We look for green stuff in the bag which indicates the fish were caught on the flats and were eating grass. Red stuff indicates the fish were off shore with a different less nutritious food supply. The grass fed fish are always stronger and healthier and lasts longer on a dead bait troll.

I have ordered baitmasters bait from Alltackle several times. I have also participated in group direct buys from Baitmasters. There is absolutely no difference in the bait. Direct from Baitmasters or from Alltackle, it's first class ballyhoos. If you are in their 1 day UPS ground shipping, their is no cost savings advantage in doing a group buy direct from Baitmasters. And I for one like having the UPS man deliver quality bait direct to my doorstep rather than drive to somebody's house at whenever (could be midnight) the truck arrives.
