anybody swordfish from hatteras to big rock

I am going to be headed down to fish in late september early october off of hatteras and will to travel as far south as big rock. looking for any intel on anybody or anybody who knows of where some swords have been caught in the past. albeit sportfishing or longlining. we will be testing some new daytime tactics that have worked off of virginia and in florida. If you would rather not post feel free to e-mail me or call me. 757-749-0907 or cjones@sinnengreen.com. additionally, if anybody knows anybody please contact me with their contact info. We are strictly non-electric reel sportfishing for them. no pain no gain!!!!

Thanks,
Casey

P.S. if anybody knows where i can get ahold of a good bathometric map of the area i would greatly appreciate it.

Oregon inlet !

Get in touch with the Capt of the Skiligal @ Oregon inlet. He learned from the gang down in Keys ( Bud N Mary's Marina Crew - The Catch 22) when they were first to actually start the day time swording in the area. Hope this helps

Maps Unique makes great charts. They are laminated and waterproof.

For Hatteras to Morehead, you'll need 2 separate charts though
Morehead City & Cape Hatteras

thanks guys!!! I know David Peck on the Skiligal and he has fished with the guys from down south. I have fish a few times as well with david and Vic. Randy, his son and myself caught probably the first four up here in VA targeting them during the daytime. Thanks for the info on the maps. btw i am fishing with David mid october and probably doing two other trips up here before that.

Anybody who is looking to get into this fishing look at the Skiligal out of OI. David is one of the only charter guys around that knows how to do it. He is in touch with most of the other people trying it up and down va-nc. i believe he is doing daytime charters for swords or 1/2 tuna and 1/2 sword trips.
