I was wondering if anyone had information on the Los Suenos Billfish Tournament. A friend of mine is there fishing but haven't received any reports or seen any post.
Thanks,
Rich

Thanks,
My friend had left Newark, NJ on Sunday and I wasn't sure when the tournament started. He's fishing on the Clean Sweep and has fished with them before, but this is his first tournament there.

I heard it was rainy and a little rough this morning when they cut 'em loose down there. The report that I got from a couple boats that pre-fished was that things were pretty slow so I hope things pick up. Good luck to everyone on the board that's down there for the tournament!
Sam
I know a lot of fish have move down to the south. Past Quepos!
BoundForGlory:
At the end of day 1 today standings are
1st place lead -Miss Behavin - (unfortunately not Capt. Dave's Miss Behavin boat from this forum ), is in 1st place with 6 Blue Marlin & 2 Sailfish.
2nd place - The Hook - with 6 Blue Marlin
I'll have the final results after the tourney is over. Best of luck to all boats and anglers.
thums up Really? Well those fish must miss all of their family members that are all still up here, as there are certainly a lot of Fish being caught here in the Los Suenos -Quepos region and the bite is only getting better.

Thanks Hookedoncostarica,
Looking forward to more results and any pictures!

Looks like the marlin bite continues to be pretty strong down there--most of the boats are fishing up off Cabo Blanco. When the fishing's this good it's anyone's game. 41 boats are fishing today.

Just got the call from my good friends fishing on the Super Fly--Bill Easum, Jimmy Taylor (who some of you Gulf Coast boys may know as the emcee for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic) and Joan Vernon had a super slam today! They had five marlin and a sail for 2600 points. Jimmy caught his first personal grand slam as well--he probably won't sober up for a week. I guess right now they're tied for the lead so we'll see what tomorrow brings. The marlin bite's red-hot off Cabo Blanco.
I had to turn down a last-minute invite to fish with them because of some deadlines here at work, so now I'm really bummed to miss it but I'm glad to see them doing well.
