When I left Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant not long before the 7 p.m. deadline for weigh ins in Mako Mania, Rich Klein's Big Boy was safely sitting in first place with a 301-pound mako boated on Saturday. Since I haven't heard from Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association tournament chairman Pete Grimbalas, it's safe to assume the standing will remain in place. There was one big change today as Insufficient Funds (winner of last weekend's Mako Rodeo) brought in a 279-pound mako that knocked Impulse's 259-pounder from Saturday down to third. That moved Lured Off Shore to fourth at 239 pounds. Bella Mia is fifth at 230 pounds, and Tradition took the sixth and final spot with today's 225-pounder. Steve Mellett of Point Pleasant had been fifth with Tradition on Saturday with a 215-pound mako.
