ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

Recieved my 2nd phone call in two weeks from tournament directors telling me their tournament is canceled or they lost their premier sponsors.
The latest victims??

Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina Billfish Tournament -S.C. Governors Cup. This tournament has been one of my favorites to attend and display at. My family loved this one also.
They are talking of starting a different tournament to replace it so that it remains part of the Governors Cup Series.

Calcutta Wahoo Challenge- Morehead City told me they lost Calcutta as their main sponsor due to Calcutta cutting back. (I havn't stop buying their products, so whats wrong??) The tournament will go on, renamed The Wahoo Challenge. I suggested that the city of Morehead sponsor it to bring the crowd to their beautifully re- done water front at charterboat row. My answer? They are over budget already.

My answer to helping the economy? Keep fishing and doing what you enjoy. I don't know about you all, but I don't think about anything, problems, business etc.. when I'm fishing. I just fish.

As I like to say, "there are no problems...only solutions"

Seems that if you loose 1 or 2 big sponsors, and can't find a couple of more "big or premier" sponsors, then you need a bunch of smaller ones to replace them. More work, sure, but at least your all your "eggs" are spread out...

Sorry to hear they pulled out on those.

It has been tough this year with us too, but I just couldnt see not tryin to raise some money for the SHRINERS BURN CENTERS.Somethings better than nothing!

Thats why I say to PLEASE SUPPORT the SPONSORS who enable us to put on these tournaments! Its tuff on everybody, so remember those guys. Without them........it would be very tuff!!
