I have some heads that look like that marked CITER LURES. They have a soft bottom taper that doesn't pop clips when dropped back further on twin outboard boats. They look like they from Tinkers shop, I dunno

I caught a small blue on a small Ruckus yesterday. Other favorites are the old soft Walkers Hog, and Bost # 5, Futa coconut # 13

Plungers, don't leave home with out um

Ahi,
Citer popped up around the end of Tinks time at my factory before David came aboard. They were a big vinyl buyer for a while and do make a nice product. They started knocking off some of our models which I consider flattering but lacked the quality of Tinks/ Davids so they never really cut into our runs. When David and I had the big show down and split last year, I approached them to make our line but we couldn't come to terms and they had no vinyl production. I have sourced a facility that has the quality, production capability and pricing I need to fill the big runs. More important than that is they have the vinyl end nailed down. With luck, I can negotiate some deal with them and get back full swing production

Brian,
I make all thats shown there except the bird which is built by Boone. Competitor or not they make a better bird than I can so I use theres. I also am a fan of soft head,Aloha Bird, citer, yo-zuri and ilander lures beyond what I make.

The big purple one is the Masher run off a tag line on the inside rigger.

The big blue one is my Cavitaor model that I run more in the Bahamas than here in the same slot on opposite side

The small ones with the lage concave faces are my teardrops that I run either short rigger past the tags or some boats further back on the outside longer riggers. The are rigged over med/large hoos.

Next we have my squasher model for my left flat line agin that gets a hoo. The right flat I use Boones bird about seven feet in front of a swimming naked ballyhoo...

The next two are my DK model agin over hoos on the outside riggers. I typically use them only if it gets rough to the point that tear drops or naked baits back there start flopping to hard. I also use them if tuna are around. Don't know why but tuna love em...

The long center bait shown is my Intimidator model. When I used to work for Dale Earnhardt he liked that one so I gave it his nickname. Thats a very pretty straight runner that tosses a load of smoke. Whites like it a lot in the Bahamas. That center up here gets changed out for one of my Green Machine like mambas over and eel. Down in Florida its often replaced with a black and red bullet type or ilander rigged on wire for wahoo. Funny though although I run the black and red bait for wahoo we really crush the sailfish and whites with it when fishing Chub Cay.

Todd,
We have room aboard Intruder for MA500...

Hi Paul

Hey thanks for the clarification,,,I can see lots of lures coming from the same shop start all looking very similar

A few years back Bogey sold me a Kwagga that looked like yer Masher.

For what it's worth I prefer tie on skirts allso. I hate glue!

Boones do make good birds, they are a little fragile but they do run well. I really like the 9" model, It can be a good idea with those birds to rig them on a piece of leader to ward off bill strikes. If a fish slashes at the bird (not that common in my experience but it does happen) and it's connected directly to your line it can damage the line. I like to have at least one foot of leader ahead of the bird, more is better but much more than about two feet and it looks pretty ungainly. Also, if using heavier tackle, it's worth rigging the bird to take a heavy straight through pull. I don't trust the Boone bird frame not to pull apart on heavy drag. Either bend the rings up and thread the leader through them, or crimp short pieces of leader to each ring, lay a long piece of leader across the top of the bird and crimp the short pieces to the long piece.

AhiSlayer,
All of my skirts are screw-on interchangible! They also fit into each other like a small fits into a medium and a medium can fit into a large...or have a triple skirt if needed. We do a small, med and Lg. skirt. All of these have a perfect hole up underneath to accept a ballyhoo nose perfectly.
Here is a few of our skirts!

My Amex lure

For me it has to be the Islander Sailure..it can be run in various sea conditions, with or with out ballyhoo..I run mine with ballyhoo 99% of the time. If your not running atleast one of these your missing hits.
