Thumbs up An Actual Fishing Report - Feb 4th Hatteras

That's right an actual bonafide fishin report!

A slick calm day for our crew today who wanted to go looking for Bluefins.

    We foundem.

Killed two that we were allowed to and released 4 more. Most fish in the 50" range.

Our crew today was a group of professional Jockey's, that's right they race horses for a living.

It was really cool talkin to them about their profession.

Had some by-catch too, two nice wahoos and a king.

The next bite on a jig.
I knew it, I just knew. I knew there was an ocean out there somewhere with pelagics in it. Been so long it seems, I have forgot.

    Pretty work.

    Nice

The fish is taller then the guy who caught it. Is that a citation? Nice work Jay, come on spring.

While talking with them, we discussed weight. The little guy weighed 106, the retired Fat jockey 120.

Tought guys too, we talked about spill in the gate, getting stepped on after getting knocked off etc. One fella had taken two spills in the gate recently, resulting in concussions both times, and loss of a couple teeth one time!

    Definately athletes.

After adjusting the chair and the bucket a little, these fellas had no problem whippin these "little" bluefins in short order, the "big guy" caught one on a 130 in about 3 minutes.
