92" BFT on A-SALT-WEAPON

Got an email from Capt Dennis Endee on A-SALT-WEAPON reporting their catch of a 92" BFT last Friday. His brief report and a link to some photos are below.

We were fishing Friday mid morning around some bait when they hit!
Both Penn 130 went off, we were hooked up to not 1 but 2 Bluefins.
One fish went north and the other went south.
Patrick was on one the Will Hester was on the other.
After about a 1/2 hour Patrick's fish pulled the hook.
now we focused all our efforts on Will's fish.
After about another 1/2 we got your 1st look at the fish and she was big.
10 minutes later Patrick took the harpoon and got her right in the head!
We got a tail rope on the fish and then the high five's started!
We tried to get her though the tuna door, but we could not get her in.
I called another boat and got a block and tackle from them.
That made life easy, she came in the boat.
She measured:
92" long
cleaned she weighted 355 pounds.
Total fish weight would have been around 500 pounds!
I will send pictures when we get a chance.
Heading back out this Saturday.

Congradulations on one of the only fish caught we know last Friday. We heard it all on the VHF and talked to Mark the other day about your fish. We fished over there on Thursday all day without one bite but glad you got one in the boat and great job. Hope many more come your way soon also.

WTG on your fish guys, they are few and far between. I hope they show up soon. When you have 75-100 boats out there and only 5-10 bites that's not good fishing. Everyone just waiting there turn. Glad you got you one.
