    8/20 Tuna

Found a new body of fish yesterday afternoon for a very intense couple hours of fishing. Mixed bluefin and yellowfin, with sharks and skippies for good measure. Guy next to us reportedly caught a blue marlin on a jig before we got there

The camera only came out for one fish, but trust me, there were ALOT more A light tackle bonanza

Nice Bluefin Doug, congrats on your good day's fishing. What size were the yellowfins? All fish chunked and/or live baited? Any on the troll?
Do I see a saltiga on the boat?
    Cheers,

All the fish were on the chunk. We trolled for about an hour and a half which was a waste of time! We started chunking before the first bait hit bottom we had a BIG fish on for about an hour before we lost it a few feet from the boat. Wish we would have seen it Prob. a big shark.

The YF were about 30lbs the over bluefin taped out at 57". Great day on the water with a great crew

Doug will tell you about his spinning rod

Correction spongy - the yellowfin were jigged, bluefin (and sharks) preferred bait

No saltigas. Avet LX, tiagra 30's and saragosa 14000

Thanks again for a great day of fishing on the east coast. We just can't get fish like that in the desert. I will be dreaming of that beastly tuna for a long time. Long after the sushi runs out! It is back to Lake Mead for me soon. I guess I better stock up on the cheesedoodles and marshmallows so I can properly battle those Nevada big mouth bass...

Nice pictures. I was out yesterday (8/20) and could not buy a bluefin or yellowfin for that matter... guessing you don't want to give a general area where you fished understandably. I was in the Glory/Princess region.
