    7-22 More cobes

After yesterdays fiasco and frustration, I decided to go back and see if I couldnt exact my revenge on the cobes. We left at 230 with Scott, John and Paul Angelson, and Jason from the Fin Seeker to go back and see if I couldnt pick the cobias up where I had left them the day before. First stop, they were there. About a dozen of them, mostly pups, but we ended up catching 4 cobes on that one. Two on the jig, one on a spot and one on a croaker. Two were close to being legal, but we figured if you gotta measure them, it aint worth it so back in they went. Over the next hour, we saw over a dozen more, catching 4 of those and after releasing all of them we figured we oughta take one for the fish box, so we pull up to the buoy and Scott free gaffs a 35#er. These cobes were hungry and we ended up catching 8 in a little less than 2.5 hours. Good fishing.

    Way to go !

Jake , Glad to hear that you were able to get back on them! Still can,t believe the charter from your previous day didn't want any of that action but like you said they were a paying charter and it is what it is Hope to read a report from you soon about a SLOB Cobia catch Thanks again for the report ! Sounds like some good fun to be had if they hang around
