7/18 - 208lb BFT on the Press Time

We had a fantastic time fishing with Luke & Jason on the Press Time last Friday.

We were trolling near the Hot Dog when we got into big Bluefins. We ended up with 6 overs by 10:30, all on skirted ballys. 3 bites came on the downrigger (pink). The other 3 came as drifter bites, all while fighting the fish that we got deep. (Perhaps they were following the hooked fish up to the surface??)

The one we killed was 72” and went 208lbs. 4 of the others were about 100lbs, while the last one looked to be a little bigger than the one we kept.

After a great morning we headed deeper. Had one more bite – a 53lb YFT out near the Baltimore. Again on a skirted bally.

WTG on the BFT's. There's no better fisherman in the fleet than Jason Guenther.

Can't wait to get out this weekend.

    Catch 'em up!

Ofcourse the one that got away!!
Amen to Jason. Hell of a mate and could be the best in OC. He has won a lot of tournaments on various boats. So that tells you one thing, it isn't always the boat and it isn't always the captain!!!
