NJ 7/1 First offshore trip of the year

Left the dock at 6am in seach of tuna headed south toward the Tea cup, trolled out to the Balt but never had to go to the deep. Started to set lines, got the second line in the water and Mr. Yellowtail took it right out of my hand never got the line in the outrigger clip. 20 minutes later the 26' mako had its deck covered with Tuna blood...This was our first trip for the year ... New boat and three guys who never fished together before Great way to start out the season!!! Set the lines back out and a double header of small BFT, sent them back to fight another day. Trolled the area some more and had nothing for awhile, so we headed toward Massey's on the troll and found a school of Mahi, picked up 2 of them. Great day over all. New boat and crew,Great weather ,and blood on the deck... What more could ya ask for.

Lure- Green\Yellow feathers were the hot lure

The Big BFT should be here anyday now...Cant wait!!!
