had a great day on tuesday mike and laura monti from rhode island had a double digit marlin day today we fly fished and got 3 bites landed one. fishing is hot down here in the galapagos i got 20 days till i go back home still plenty of fish to catch, www.sportfishgalapagos.com

This year's the first we've heard so many reports out of the Galapagos...with some incredible fishing. Is this season unusual in terms of the huge numbers of stripeys?

its far from unusual to catch 12 a day my personal best is 21 3 years ago THERE ARE A LOT OF STRIPED MARLIN HERE. ITS no big deal to catch 3- 6 aday Dont get me wrong there are ome days when the fish wont be as aggresive but for the most part its excellent the other day we had 15 shots with a fly rod hooked 3 and got 1 But thats flyfishing with 20# tippet I now offer flyfishing on all my trips for those ttaht are interested.
