Here's the lure that won the 2009 World Cup....I stole the pic from Charlie (Marlin Mag) photo gallery.

Hmmm, well that's confusing. According to our very own Josh Temple, the 2009 World Cup's winning fish was caught on a Bomboy from his own tackle bag that James raided on a past trip. The lure pictured earlier as the WC winner looked like a Bluewater lure from Tommy Greene. Wonder what the story is. Perhaps James will chime in.

James called me live from the grounds after he boated the fish. We were half a world away enjoying some spectacular fishing ourselves, albeit for much smaller fare in a slightly chillier climate. Yes he was in the world cup and YES he won. Congrats to the Wound Up Boys we've been drinking Dark & Stormy's for the past two days celebrating on his behalf!!!

Epic fishing trip up here in Tofino, BC with SteveD and Matt. Truly spectacular salmon and bottom critter fishing i'm traveling back to mexico tonight so i'll get a report and the photos up soon.

Congrats again James!!!! That's a hellofa fish and a heckofa payout amigo.

I read that reply as well. The photo I submitted was from a gallery in Facebook from the senior editor at Marlin Magazine who was in Bermuda for the WC....who also fished on the Wound Up today.....

big t leopard caught the 865.....the bomboy caught our first blue of the day was left on the maximo by fourum member rawhide, highjacked by wound up . a good karma lure for sure..

left long allen (the longer long)..caught by my mate as he was letting her back up in the tag after she knocked it down the 1st time...she pulled off a little string and aired it out right at us......wound right up..
