There is no cams this year of the event. The storm no doubt messed up a lot of logistics this year. Wayne and his crew will do there best to feed the info to http://bisbees.com and SportFishermen.com over the next 2 days. Trust me I'd rather be in Cabo and Wayne would much rather us being in Cabo. |

Just talked to the guys on Knot for Rent.
They said that somebody weighed a 375lb. blue. No word on the boat name - they hadn't heard - still cleaning their gear... Two more days...! Last edited by SA.M.; 10-22-2009 at 09:35 PM. |

Day 1 Blue Marlin
The San Diego crew aboard the Mi Novia just weighed in a 375-pound blue marlin. The angler was owner Bryan Miller and the fight took about 25 minutes on 130-pound tackle. The fish ate a live yellowfin tuna weighing about 25 pounds.
In addition to Miller, the regular group of fishing buddies includes Ken Price, Bruce Reid and George Meyer, all of San Diego, California. Newly hired local "ringer" Nico Calvario Hernandez was the skipper. There were dozens of fish released today, but only Mi Novia's made the minimum weight of 300 pounds. Mi Novia was fishing in the Sea of Cortez. I'll have some shots of Mi Novia's fish, along with the scale scene, shotgun start and other images uploaded in a little while. A recap story will be filed later tonight. Reporting from Cabo San Lucas for the Bisbee's B&B... Capt. Dave Lear |
