Tournament Control has officially called Line's Out for the 2009 Bisbee's Black & Blue Marlin Tournament.
Tournament Control has officially called Line's Out for the 2009 Bisbee's Black & Blue Marlin Tournament.
Boats that may have boated fish and have not established radio contact with Tournament Control have until 1700 to make the scales.
As of right now, Extraction's 305 blue is the only qualifying fish for Day 3.
There are no other fish yet to come to the scales that we are aware of.
An awards celebration will be held this evening at the Plaza Puerto Paraiso in Cabo.
We will post images of the awards presentation later, along with a re-cap story on the 29th Annual Black & Blue.
Congratulations to all the winners. I'd also like to give kudos to The Bottom Line crew for its perseverance and Sneak Attack for its unselfish sportsmanship. Fair seas to all participants as you make your way home.
I'd also like to thank Baja Cantina for providing the tournament boat and Senor Greenberg's for giving us a comfortable working environment to post these updates. If you visit Cabo, be sure to stop by these fine restaurants. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks too for all the comments and to sportfishermen.com for bringing the event home to all those who couldn't be here.
Capt. Dave Lear, reporting for the Bisbee's B&B...
I might be wrong, but the Head marlin at the awards platform looks like a the copper marlin statue with the trophy!
Can someone take a good picture of that Trophy Marlin?
Thanks, it is a classic. (2006)![]()
Thanks for the updates Dave, enjoy Cabo!
