It's another beautiful day in Cabo San Lucas, with slightly cooler temperatures greeting anglers this morning.
It was another good start as 94 boats took off in search of the so-far elusive million dollar fish. Today is the last day of fishing and lines must be out of the water by 1400.
Steel Hookin' and Tenacious both started the day on a positive note. Tenacious had a brief encounter with a sailfish. Steel Hookin' hooked up with a blue marlin but lost it at 0918. Jack Wilson was the angler and the boat is fishing in grid C-4.
It should be an exciting and hectic day here at the weigh scales at the Plaza Puerto Paraiso in downtown Cabo. I'll be camped out at Senor Greenberg's, just behind the scales, to bring updates as quickly as possible.

Private Reserve and Andale are also now fighting fish.
The fleet is so scattered, radio traffic is spotty. When other boats can, the hookup information is relayed back to Tournament Control. With the surrounding mountains and boats fishing on both the Pacific side and Sea of Cortez, it's difficult sometimes for good VHF radio reception since it's mainly line-of-sight transmission.
