OK, day 4 is here and we are at the scale ready to rock and roll yet again. The word is that 110 boats hit the water today so we should have a good round of weigh-ins.
No one is at the scale at this time but we're waiting for the bridge, should see some fish here soon.
If anyone has any questions or comments please post them up and we will try to get you the info.

Here's the Recap from yesterday
The white marlin open had an exciting pair of days to open the contest and with a fish three of five days format there had to be a point where the action slowed. With winds offshore forecasted to be close to 30 knots and the stress of two days enticed all but 18 boats to take a lay day and reorganize for the final two day’s fishing. There wasn’t a lot of action at the scales and most entries fell short of the money.
The first boat to bring a fish to the scale and the waiting crowds was the Miss Andrea of Cape May, New Jersey. They had a tuna flag flying from the outrigger and a bluefin in the fishbox. Having brought a fish that fell just one pound short of the 109-pound mark set by the Avalon, New Jersey based Risky Business for first place in the tuna category Tuesday. They had high hopes for this new tuna but while it looked to be big enough to challenge that lead, the fish came out to weigh 102 pounds, moving the Miss Andrea into both second and fourth places for tuna.
The dolphin were also biting regardless of the offshore weather and several were weighed in. The Kokomo out of Wildwood, New Jersey put the largest dolphin of the day onto the scale at 42.5 pounds which placed them in second place for the category behind the Bluewater who weighed a 44-pound fish on Tuesday. In the other meatfish categories there was no change as the Fin Chaser’s 40.5-pound wahoo and the Waterman’s 110.5-pound mako remained the top of their respective categories.
On the billfish front there were no changes as no blue or white marlin were weighed. The Last Run’s massive blue that shocked the crowds on Tuesday still seems untouchable and until a monster comes to the scales to beat it, I doubt anyone will believe it can happen. The white marlin that was landed by Fish Whistle still stands in first place for the big 1.1 million dollar purse but it’s a much more tenuous position as there are plenty of fish larger than the 81-pound billfish that rests in first place. As always it’s a wait and see, time will tell situation. There is always a chance that a fish big enough to shake up the leaderboard will find it’s way onto the deck of one of the hundreds of boats that will be working hard over the final two days.
