This will be an old mans recipe. Pure drinking form. I ordered it tonight
Will be ready before I come down.
I had another supplier who made the off color brand, he passed away last year.
No one knew his recipe. Darn Shame !!!!

Someone sent me a mesage and asked if we went.
We did Here are the Pics http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/v...202011/Bahamas
I can only say for the first time it was nerve racking and fantastic !!!!
Thanks to all who helped me plan this trip.
I can only say I could not have done this unless I had help. First time on Salt water alone with my family.
It can be done, I did it with challenges, GPS going out the morning of and West Marine coming to the rescue and bringing
a GPS part to save my trip. They brought it to the Marina. My truck was already in storage.
Thanks to Dave who I called the morning and night before to confirm the weather.
Just to make sure I was still OK.
All the people said Don't do it, Thanks for all of that because it kept me thinking and learning.
Made it to Green Turtle Cay. Love that Place !!!
Ate one tuna within 1 hour of catching it. Raw. Taste great. Chilled it and ate the whole damn thing.
I can say my fuel was the big surprise. 107 gallons was holding and had to plan very well for all.
I used 58 gallons to get across. West Plam to West End.
Hope you all enjoy the pics.
My son who has Prader Willi syndrome enjoyed the trip as well. He loved the sharks.
We did Hermit crab races at Green Turtle, That was a blast, I'm sure the drink had something to do wth that.
All in all I would do it again. The 6.15 a gallon was a draw back. Well worth it, a passion that I have to experience
life with boating.
One surprise was how all enjoyed the clear liquid form KY. Man, Island people can drink.
Best Regards
Rick

Nice story Rick, glad you had the weather to make it happen! Now when is the next adventure?![]()
Rick I'm glad you made the trip and it sound's like it was a good time. I will admit that I was one of the "one's" beating up on ya. I believe we all had the intent for you to take the crossing seriously, thus would force you to have your ducks in a row. Sounds like you gave the concerns serious thought, for my part, that's what I was hoping for. So when's the next adventure???? Frank
Little more info.
I planned on having someone with me on the crossing, that fell through, his boat broke the night before.
He had one engine I had two. SO I was not worried. The gps and having a backup was the key for me.
The night I got there, my GPS had a hard time finding me. Trailing the boat form Louisville to West Palm.
When the GPS did not come up I had to fix it.
I did not leave until noon on friday, by the time I could get it fixed.
I had sirius weather so I felt good running.
When I first started out and hitting that inlet, it was 4 and 5 footers.
Scared me and I was thinking what Have I got myself into. was out of there it was great 1 - 2ft chop.
My family got nervous, When I said a cuss word they would go "WHAT" and freak out !
I learned very quickly, keep my words and thoughts to myself. My fuel gauge shows empty at 68 gallons of usage.
I think the makers does this for backup reserve. I had already installed FLow scan on the boat.
It was mind saving and worth the money to install. I knew exactly what I had left in the tank.
I put a momentary switch in and could reset each time I filled up.
Next big trip,
Not on boat, is Kauai, going ( going just the wife and I ) the last week 2011 and first week of 2012
Our older sons are watching my handicap son.
we plan on peacock bass fishing in the high country and scuba fishing .
Thanks again to all !!!
