I fished last year for one week there and I have to say it is a fantastic fishing.
There were days, where we had over 10 Strikes. The size of the fish is increddible too. Berno Niebuhr could win the Marlin Worldcup in 2006 with a grander over 1200lb. And the size of the fish, caught this year is increddible too.
Actual Catch Reports you can find here. I have some friends on the Cape Verde Islands who report regularly.

The only thing is the uncomfort to come there. I don´t know much about the flights from the USA (I´m from Germany), but we have to fly to Lisboa (Portugal), then to Sal and then to Sao Vicente. It´s a very long jurney. But it is a fantastic fishery there....
