15-30 degree break in the Baltimore

My compter may be playing tricks on me but has anyone looked at the offshore sst's? It looks like an insane eddy has come into the baltimore/wilminton canyons. Is anyone prepared and ready to run to it yet?

We're getting something in the works. We had an eddy like that 2 years ago in the Hudson and made the run the first week in April. It was one of the coolest offshore trips i ever did. 4 miles before the break we hit a monster fog bank. When we cleared the fog it was beautiful blue canyon water, the air temp was in the mid 70's and birds, bait and fish were everywhere. We ended up with 12 yellowfin up to 50 lbs (boxed up) The best part was throwing tuna on the dock while everyone else is cutting winter flounder.

    temp break

Nice break but the seas are running real big 7/10 plus. If the warm water continues to move sw into the wash and seas flatten out might give it some thought.

I would like to believe that there are Yellowfin, longfin, and bigeye in that water as well. Just a shame that we are not in the water yet !

Never had one, I was a lineman.
I started a thread in the Mix it Up forum about this two days ago. The water was awesome out there like 3-4 days ago, looked like water from 50 degrees right to about 70 or so, plenty warm enough for yellowfins. But yeah, we're still dealing with March weather which means its damn near impossible to make the run. I need to bend a rod though, REAL bad. If you've ever been in water like this this time of year, its like being on a different planet. There's usually a wall of fog, and like Bill said, the air gets warm and muggy and there's usually fish everywhere. Its awesome.
