    Thumbs up 12/26 Report

Even though the forecast was to blow hard we figured the W winds would be Ok to fish. Well that depends on where you find the fish. We heard of big fish being caught around the Lynnhaven pound nets and where the ships anchor up but we could not find any signs of life while doing our recon in the morning.

We found birds working oceanside of the 3rd and 4th about 3-4 miles out but it was all bait and couldn't catch a fish. We moved around some more looking, cruised up to the tunnel and NADA, then we saw some birds working out towards 4A but not quite all the way to the bouy.

Threw the spread out and immediatly hooked up on the daisy chain. When the fish came up it was three on the chain. It had a 28",36"and a 44" 31lber which Keith landed. Fish were flopping on the floor of the boat and the other chain goes off. Ricky is up and he lands a 32" and a 40"- 27lb 10oz. fish.

We didn't get any more there and the seas were nasty. I had the bow of the Albe dig into a wave and the crest broke on the curtians, YOW deffinetly time to go.

We finished the day off of the new hotel at Sandbridge with 34-36" fish. Fish are available but you have to do a lot of running this year to limit out.

    Craig,

I can't make anything happen until this weekend. I plan on fishing on all three days. Probably will hook up with one of the club guys on Saturday since I don't have crew, but do on Sunday and Monday and will probably stay at the Days Inn on 10th and Atlantic. I'll give you a call if we get into anything, give me your cell number again so I can program the number into memory.

Good having a message board where 10,000 other people aren't talking about stupid stuff not fishing related and willing to network together.

    Keith

Great Job on the Stripers! We tryed to make it happen here off Cape Lookout, NC today but the fish aren't thick enough to stay consistent yet... had one between 25 and 30 on.... we turned over to speckled trout fish'n and boated over 60.... still wish we had caught the stripers like you boys today!
