    What a great fish. It's one thing to be big and bad like that but to also be able to launch way up in the air!! Incredible animal.

    Nobody actually targets makos down here although we do catch quite a few on accident. There have been about a half dozen over 500 landed this winter. I had one on that was well over 600 a couple weeks ago before it released itself.

    I have put two makos in the boat this year though.

    7lb3oz blue eye little girl.
    Im lucky to get to fish the gulf twice a year in June and again in Nov. Ive seen them sky over 300lbs never fished for them but have done the night time YFT fishing one of the best places to fish hands down.Tuna Town USA.
