    Just got a quick update from John up @ Oaks Bluff, there's a 1190 something tiger shark @ the weigh station that is a possible world record

    He promises to post a report w/pictures as soon as he finds a computer!

    About 700 short of a world record but still a slob fish! We used to catch monsters like that on a hump off the keys... I killed one 900 and swore never again would I waste a fish that magnificent. His mount though kept me booked solid for charters for years...

    DeepC, you're right, just looked up the IGFA record (1780 lbs out of South Carolina). John Nexteled me that it was a record, maybe he meant state? Don't know any other details than that right now, let you know as soon as I do.

    Todd the thing hung in the Whale Harbor Bar (Islamorada) for over twenty years and I think they tossed it out last year or the year before. I have pics of the actual fiish somewhere in my albums close by... Gonna need to figure out my daughters scnner. I ought to have that done by tomorrow night...

    I just met John Sat (see my earlier post) in OB. If it breaks a state record, its big bucks! Tigers are rare up here. They must have shot south to N Carolina! hahaha
