Fished on Mark's Catch 22 today with his daughter and Jerry Fish Magnate of MOO board infame. It was a really pretty day - if u were a kite. I knew the 10-15 North was gonna be more like 15-20 and it was - but wind against the tide early made for big rollers. We chunked the new NSSSS 4 miles to the North of the NSSSS to no avail - marked tons of bait and fish though, maybe should have stuck it out but headed to old reliable after 1 1/2 hours. not much happening there either so we headed to Corky's Hump - it finally paid off with 8 fish on in 2 hours, 4 in the box and Joanna's first Tuna! She is gonna make quite the fisherwoman - watch out, JR. Anglers, there is a new sheriff in town
Biggest was a nice 55#er that i broke its heart on a 30 - i mean literally - i think it had a heart attack after we gaffed it! It completely froze up.
Many thanks to Mark for yet another multi Tuna day on the Catch 22! That Mako does real well in the slop and chunks very nicely. Now I remember why i almost bought it 5 years ago.....
