The fish are still here, but today was a very difficult, frustrating day. I had great marks all day on the finder, plenty of bait and birds, plenty of tuna airing out in small bursts, but very finicky. managed one hookup early in the day that broke off after a short fight, and then put some major water under the bow searching for some love. Got tight at the end of the day, and landed a 56" butterball, saving the streak at 9 and counting with tuners on the spinning gear.

    Back at it again tommorrow.

Congrats on keeping the streak alive man, that's quite a record you're building. Way to pull out a heck of a nice fish to save the day

    they are all good

    Nice job…keep hammering em!

Saw you out there on the bank. Your new Dusky is a nice ride. Those hulls are tanks. I fished with friends out of Plymouth. We had one fish on the SWC at 0930 on a swimmer, we grabbed leader, the fish bolted and leader popped (not the release we had planned). It was then a slow day trolling. The whale and bait activity was unbelievable. With the incredible amount of bait on the bank, and the fleet working it, we decided to move around the point in the afternoon. Within 5 minutes of getting the spread back out, a live lined mackerel is crushed and game-on, at the same time a sluggo gets whacked but does not come tight….almost had a double. We get a 59.5" butterball into the boat and bled and get back at it. We had another hit on a live bait as we were resetting the spread but no hookup, got the spread back out and in short order managed one more 60" fish on a skirted hoo, brought it boat-side and released...3 for 3 over a long day. We saw nothing busting the surface around us other than the whales. The only thing missing was an all out tuna blitz to throw a popper into. I'm still hoping to get a topwater shot at these fish. I want to try and break a spinning rod on these fish before they get too big.

I’m glad I did this instead of running long to that warm bubble in W. Atlantis….the canyon reports are not stellar from those that made the mon-tues journey.
