102kg Amberjack
Hi guys,
no I dontīt mean 102lb. A friend of Jason Pipe caught on La Gomera (Canaries, Spain) a biiiiig Amberjack with 102kg. I often heard about the good jigging there, but such a fish..... Yes, this fish would hit the IGFA-Record with over 30 kilo. Hope, the added picture works. The source of the report from Jason

I didn't realize how big amberjacks got in the Canaries. There have been some 40 to 60 kg class fish taken in Madeira but that beast just changes your preconceptions of just how big they get. The current spearfishing record is 73 kgs/161 lbs, from Tenerife.

If they averaged that size here, the jig manufacturers would really get rich!
By the way do you know that on that side of the atlantic it is very rare to find worms in them.... mm |

Good Question???... Why is it that so many pogies have those parasite here and not on the other side. Why is it that so many dolphin have those worms digesting there food in their stomach here and not on the African side??? The Mahi's here also often have those red parasite attached to there skin not there!!! Sargasm weed on this side none on the other??? Strawberries now with worms? Never heard of worms in Africa in bottom fish... MM |
