1000 Fathoms Poormans Water Temp

I fished on Fred Windward's 29 Regulator, Stress Relief out of IR. We trolled the water from the 000's to 840 out to 700 fathoms. Not a ton of life and ended up with 2 gaffer dolphin. We saw two schools of BFT (schollies in 400 fathoms just N. of 461 bump and S. of the Dog). I beleive the other two boats from IRcaught a 35' BFT and small YFT. Hope you find them if you go! We will give it a shot if the water looks right. I'd rather not head 60-100 miles for a BFT, so I imagine we will check some of the inshore lumps and try and troll up a few little ones for fun. Have had tremendous success in years past doing so at just this time.

No real weedline. Some scattered grass...the fish were just out there in little bunches and we picked at them most of the day on and off...
