10/3 Foolish Pleasure
Left the dark at o my god it early, on board we had a group from my daughters school, Nimrod, me , and our very own Admin.
Started alittle north of the tip of the Washington. Water temp high 71's into 72.. Got everything in , 15 min later, Zinnggg, and Zing. Hoping for tuna, first leader comes to the boat , grab it, and pop only a nice cut leader..... WAHOO. Wind the second one on till all the leader is almost on. Gaff his ass. one in the box. I start trying to twist wire, didn't want to lose all my ilanders and Glenn W seawitches. Got some wire out there and bang hit again, 4 poles went down this time, got 2 out of 4 on that encounter. that was pretty much the scenario till around 10:30 then the bite shut down..... We went looking for some fish then, put the mono back out, got a tuna on the Sniper rod on a Matanza and wire.![]() ![]() hooked two lobster balls, bailed some mahi for alittle while. Final count, 7 Nice hoos (probably missed as many), a football yellowfin, and some possum dolphin... Bunch of seawitches and ilanders lost, ( pink and white hot color) 1 Wahoonbox signature Ilander chain destroyed.... hoo goo everywhere, Admin has picks hopefully he will post them later. What a great day, now i got to clean teak ![]() ![]() ![]()

First and foremost I would like to thank Tim Turner for making me go enjoy a day on the water. This was the first trip out on the water that was no work related and I was able to kick back and enjoy the time on the water with friends.
Nimrod as always man its was a pleasure to be aboard the boat with you at the wheel.. Just remember though one day you will find yourself in front of a cold wall of water splashing over you from head to toe. Its now a mission! Regardless I had a blast. Tim Turner, god damn man have you got your shit together. The boat, you just can not say enough about the Foolish Pleasure as she is always in top shape and clean as a whistle. Tim you have done an amazing job with this boat man and you should be very proud. The spread and gear was top notch, Tim I don't think you missed one gaff shot on the hoo's or tuna's and all meat went into the box. I have fished in these canyons since the early 80's and have caught a couple wahoo's before but never been covered up time and time again. Watching these Hoo's slam baits teasers and everything else that had a shine to it was amazing. I can not thank you enough for a great day on the water man and the chance to be apart of a amazing North East wahoo bite! Capt John Eppehimer
