Jer, I love the picture of you fishing in the surf. As I look at it 2 things have come to mind. First I noticed that you are fishing over what I think to be the sandbar. When I surf fish I look for 2-3 things or places to fish. First is a trough. A trough is a deeper hole next to the beach ( may run for servile meters in length. Say 50 or more) with a outer sandbar that breaks the waves before getting to the shore. The next thing that I look for is what we call here "under tows"...currents that will run from the beach out to sea or a current that runs from out at sea to the shore. When I look at your picture I see something so close you that I am talking about on your right side in the center of the picture. It looks like a trough. Most of the time you will find a current coming in on end of the trough and a current going out on the other end. This is where I like to start fishing. I will start at one end of the trough and fish to the other end looking for the fish. Hope this helps! Catch a big one for us!
