That will make the third time that the WON has been won or big money made in it on spreaderbars. The guys who did it the first two times are customers and good friends of mine who didn't want to admit what they caught their fish on or how for obvious reasons. Of course, those fish were caught on our bars, tournament fishing models, using a technique described in my book, SuperBar Bible. I'm glad to see bars in general coming out of the closet in that tournament, because they are death on tuna and everything else. SuperBars were designed, developed and refined over literally thousands of days on the water in Cabo.

As always, please be sure to check our bars and the unbelievable new Spiders out and any other bars that you are interested in by in my case, PM'ing me and giving me your email address so that I can shoot the story on our products out to you.

And as a special for my fellow SFC'er's, a complimentary copy of the new SuperBar Bible will go out to those who ask for a catalog. That's a thirty dollar gift for openers and the technique used to win first place and high in the money, along with the names of the guys who did it is included in that book. I will have to limit this to the first 25 members who respond.
Just got back from REDRUM SPORTFISHING and the 244lbs tuna was cought on a 10in green squid!! NOT A SPREADER BAR! 200 feet back on the shotgun blind strike!

I apologize to all for the speaderbar thing, but I hope that you saw that I was responding to this - "I was supposed to be on that boat for the tourney, but had to cancel due to family causes. UUGGHH. That big fish was caught on one of my custom spreaderbars that I rigged for them" by someone on the first page of this thread. No innaccurate info on my part nor any intended, not anything but good intentions toward Redrum or their people and their win. They were tied up stern to on the other side of the dock that I was on (A dock) and one of the 31 Bertrams was owned by a friend of mine named Bert. I see the same crew of two brothers on the boat, but don't know if Bert still owns her, nor do I know if the fleet ownership is still the same. There were and probably are some real good guys and fishermen on those boats and my crew used to crew for some of them when we weren't chartered.

The info on two of the other WON tournaments was accurate and the same fishing team that accomplished those things, David Brackmann and his three brothers also had a likely money fish in the last tournament that they fished, but they ignored that and weren't allowed to weigh their fish (and were told that in advance) when they abandoned the tournament and spent a day and two nights in very rough seas running and gunning while looking for a boat that had lost power and electric that was adrift way offshore with a diabetic passenger aboard in dire need of insulin. The boat was Chris Badsy's "Reelaxe" and he beat the crap out her on that selfless rescue mission. A terrific owner and crew to do something like that.

The Brackmann family has a 41 Cabo that charters out of the famed Picante Fleet in Cabo San Lucas when they aren't down there fishing.
