I stepped to the plate on a couple laptops this year. One went to mini and I took the other. Mini dropped hers. Busted the wireless card and even a new card isn't working the rest of the unit works fine on dial up. Mine though blew up on me last week. Dozens of calls later its working... Kind of. I don't know that I trust it anymore. Font size changes, settings change, all by themselves..
I feel your pain. That India thing bugs me too. Of the calls made a guy in Alabama did the most good. There was only one other good rep and they were in Canada...
My oldest has a laptop, using it for college. It has the latest but not the fastest out there. So one day I was installing the laptop onto the network. Things look easy in the manual. I had never operated the Vista software before. Well after a few hims and haws I finally locked it it. I was trying to hide the broadcast sid on the router down stairs so the peeps in the neighbor hood would stop hitting on it. Well the afternoon came around and I was busy with something else. She comes home and looks for the laptop. I have it on wall power in the master suite upstairs. I hear a call from the second floor by the sound of Dad. Then I hear, when you are finished using the laptop, could you place it back in my room. I was thinking of a call to India but the psychiatrist was a nearby drive.
