More chop than expected. Stepped the chin weights up to a half ounce and beat the edge to death. Crowded and only managed a couple bullit bonitos. Lid on deeper and too a rat mahi. Out inabout 800 I hit a beautiful break with the warmest water of the year at 79.4. Worked out a couple fair mahi then a big pair of about 25lbs. Dropped a stray wahoo just short of the boat. Kept waiting for the blue one to play but he never showed. Still a good day. Each day now I'm adding mor of the stuff that I will be toting over to the bahamas. The only draw back of the 28' is stuffing enough stuff to feed, drink and fish 4-6 people for a month...
Just hope I don't sink the damn thing getting ready...
Did more Bahamas stuff today. Swapped life raft for inflatable boat I like to play with when I have free time in the islands. Trimmed the fat out of the stuff I'm toting. Feeling the stress as people are last minute screwing flight reservations up. Each year is the same crap. "Oh my flight gets in at 10:00 to meet the connecting one at 9:45... Will they hold it for me?"
Wanted to use Over Unders plane service this year but some people are comming a day early or leaving a day late which would have left me with too many empty flights to pay for... Next year hopefully we do Chub again and ttheres no fooling around so I can use them...
