For the second time this month I got forced to a plan B for fishing inside as the 25kt junk had the blue side just too steep. Capt Tim from Cape May and his buddies joined me for the run. I explained the weather and options and were happy top give it a go inside.
We started trolling spoons through some local spots and picked a few jacks and a genuine silver sea trout... We covered a lot of the Lake Worth lagoon and it was a slow but fair pick. As we passed the Bucanneer dock Tims other half, Mary had her hands full with a large jack. Now backing down a tower boat in the intercoastal must have been a sight but was necessary to keep from getting in the pilings. She won and the fish was released.
I slid over to my secret spot and had some marks. I dropped the rock anchor and sent some baits out. It wasn't long until we had a mack, then another and another. They really turned on when I added chum to the game and it was steady slam for the next few hours with fish up to four pounds... Didn't take a number count but this is one of those big 94qt igloos...
