Got here last week and popped a sail and mahi out front of Bimini in the first houe. We had a real rough crossing to Chub on sunday and decided to troll the pocket going in. Good choice! we got covered up with blues and whites comming in and managed 2 whites and a blue. The next day we added a white and filled the box with bottom fish.
Our first group arrived nad thirty minutes out we nailed a slob 70+ lb wahoo. We had to cut the day short though when my mate took a 9/0 through his leg!!!
The next day was slow with a big mahi and missing 2 whites and 2 sails. Yesterday started slow and then the world caught on fire! between noon and 3pm we had 14 white bites 4 sail bites and raised a blue. Our kill ratio sucked but we managed one of the whites to the transom that went easily 130lbs!!!! Tom (Bovus) got his monster and Lucy his girl popped her first sail. Greatest people you could ask for.
Weather forced us to blow out of chub back toward Bimini this morn and we took a 90 mile arse whoopin! 35kts and 4'+ straight on the head sucked bad ....The channel at Bimini was too rough to enter so we're spending the night at Cat Cay....
Deep thank you for your info. dead on my first night there stayed up till 5 am catching snook and tarp man cant wait to get back down there....... hope your mate is ok if you need one call me thanks again
