Bahamas 2006!!!
Just got off the phone with Chub Cay and their opening will be later than originally planned. So it looks like two runs to the islands this season. We will again do Bimini but I am going to push the dates to a bit later than our late March early April... I'm thinking mid April through early May. This I think will give us more opportunity at better weather, a wider range of spots to work, and hopefully a better run fo fish to beat on. Late enough perhaps to even get a shot at the Giant Bluefins that cruise the crystal clear flats to the east...
Again we will enjoy the hospitality and stay in the big suite at Sea Crest. The trips will as always be mostly all inclusive. Air from South Florida, lodging, fishing, breakfast snacks, lunches, 3 dinners (of the four nights), day snacks, soft drinks all in the price. Booze and the fourth dinner are up to you. You hit the ground running around noon your first day. We tuck out and target what ever has been biting best that afternoon. Spend the next three very full days chasing everything from marlin and tuna to beating on the reefs for yellowtails and groupers. The last morning we stay tight to the island and try to get you one more memory making beast. Night you can choose from several native bars, join us fishing off the docks, strolling the beach or just relaxing up in the suite...
$1250 a man covers it all! 4 man max!
Mid May watch for our Hatteras packages... They will be drive in, priced very reasonably and run on the other Albemarle I used to run. Reel Delight picked off nearly 500 billfish in her three seasons so far and I see no reason to think she'll stop there...
We will be possibly offering a second run to Chub in late May or very early June... We may switch boats to my buddies bertram 28 with her fresh repower and history of raising the late season Chub pigs! As I have to dash back to the states to squash makos we may wind up only offering two or three legs and seats will be in short supply. IF you have interest now is the ime to let me know. It will be a similar package to the Bimini run with the same inclusions but some way over the top first class accomodations will run the price up a bit. The fishing at Bimini is good but Chub is off the charts...
$1850 a man... 4 man max

I thrive on getting as many people out as possible... If I priced more to clear a bigger profit I may sit at the dock or worse yet leave some one behind that really wants to go... That isn't me... These trips are too wonderful to not share with as many as possible...
I make them just add water like I do to make it even more convenient... I buy the food we need and the bait in bulk so it all comes out in the wash as easier on everyones pocketbook. I've been doing these runs so long I do that leg work in my sleep.
The Chub trips fee is an estimation... It could be slightly less. I'm considering a flat whole boat fee for that of around $6k...

Well that was quick. Booked one whole boat leg and added a single rider looking for other singles on a second leg. Still am not locked on dates so if you have some specific ones that we need to accomodate, let me know...

Another leg filled out today... Previous single bringing a whole group... Still have not ironed out exact dates so if you want to go and book I will use your dates as a centerpiece and work earlier or later from there...

I have room for three singles on May 1-5 leg of it. Other dates are wide open... We have three full boats booked so I guess we are going to set from Mid April to Mid may as the window... Get four guys together and I'll let you have the whole boat deal for another $500 off! Instead of $5000 for the whole rig I can still toss in everything for $4500.
With some time on my hands today, I was able to dial in some changes to how we fished it last year that we should way improve on supplying memories...

Since Chub and Bimini won't mix this gives me a chance to focus on stuff just specific to bimini. I plan a whole lot harder approach than last years with more types of fishing styles to be deployed. The long ed/black drag with two heavy weighted rigs run wwwb will be worked hard. I dusted off the spreaders for an assault on the tuna on the north corner. I tied up a bunch of goggle eye catching rigs and will be doing quite a bit more of that live baiting and even plan to send a couple deep... Lots of new additions to the fishing plans for Bimini 2006 so look for some way upgraded results!
