    Back For Good Finally

BAck on hot sandy soil for a while now... Still have the engine off at the manufacturer getting re done... Might take a few days off to see if I can help up on the gulf. I feel for those poor people but sometimes local regulations keep outsiders out even if they are there to help... We'll see...
Otherwise a bit of boar hunting is in order... Its our boar bow season here and pronging an oinker might help me get over the piss poor season I had up north... So in the mornings I can get the steering on my little boat going so at least I have one to run until the Deep C is rockin. Then devote the late afternoon to being siphoned dry by mosqitoes and sending high dollar carbon shafts to a certain death in the swamps.

Pig poking didn't involve pokage but we did have a cool time dealing with an anaconda class snake. Did the gulf thing... Those people are hurting bad...
After a week more of fighting with the manufacturer of my long block I may be getting someplace. The goodies I have work better with a 6.2 than a 6.5 liter long block. This would match up better as thats what the original block was so with luck they can get er done this week.

Snakes and spiders I dont like but, a snake that hunts it's prey is even scarier I don't like spiders because they bite you and you dont even know you have been bit until you are in convulsions I am getting the creeps thinking about the eight legged things.

I'm way not fond of spiders. Having done the sick for a week thing with a black widow bite they get me feeling a bit uneasy. Aw, who am I kidding... They scare the crap out of me any more. We get bird spiders out where I hunt a bit smaller than a womans hand. Yuk!
The snakes we have out there though are pretty diverse. We have racers, corn, rat, indigo, garter and a few others on the non venomous side. The hot side includes coral, rattler, pygmy rattler, cottonmouth and I've even come across a lost copperhead down here. They get your heart pumping a bit but no more so than a shark or marlin out in the blue that could hurt you if you mishandle it...
The big snake we saw the other day was way colorful. Couldn't identify it from any of my books. Perhaps a pet constrictor or python that somebody let go mixed it up with something else?

We have a trailer that we spend weekends at during the summer. Its in a campground in the middle of the woods.

The spiders this year have been OUT OF CONTROL. They make the monsterous webs during the week while we're not there and make a mess of everything. But, the bug population has been severly reduced (not including the spiders though...I will have to take a picture of the webs this weekend when we go down. We also have enough frogs to last a life time.

Now earlier in the summer we saw some type of black snake, had to be about 5' long, curling up under the stairs of my parents place in the campground. Probably living off of all the frogs they have back there. He was a big sucka that I hope finds another home over the winter. We'll see.

Anyway you look at it though....I'd pick the frogs over the snakes and spiders anytime...lol

Well its now early october and I have verified my 6.2 proper replacement is in route and should be here in a couple days. It would seem that this motor company has some issues internally. Rather than negative whining I see that I may just have to get involved at submangement levels to set things right there.
During this ordeal and over the years for that matter, I have taken diligent notes on how to make things better with these mills I see a whole lot of potential and found a whole lot of things that could easily be corrected to turn a pig into areliable affordable power plant. Instead of getting a "if they did this or that" scenario going in my head. Why not do what I did with my lure company and get them to do it. Take the good points and change the bad. With that said I may be getting involved with these guys to clean up the slop and turn out a first class product. A "Compleat" power package.
You may very well be seeing the birth of something great. I know some things regarding their customer service and inspection process that I could fix rapidly. After numerous calls over the last few weeks they seem receptive to me comming on board. So fellow SFC gang you may be seeing me involved a bit more in the north east.
