Mahi, Marlin, .....Tarpon and Drum

Offshore fished last two days, plenty of bailer dolphin, with several handfulls of gaffer dolphin mixed in. The Blue Marlin and White Marlin continue to show themselves,......this should continue through mid-August. Earlier last week, spent most of the time fishing inshore up river looking Tarpon and Drum. I did see the first wave of Tarpon moving up river early last week and I expect the bite to turn on by the middle to end of next week as the main body of these fish arrive. The puppy drum fishing has been real good. Most of the fish are in the 22-34 inch range. As usual, they are holding on most of the marshy points and creeks here in the sound. I expect within two to three weeks the large giant red drum will start their end of summer terror on every baitfish or crab in their path.
