Take a good look at the "Beefiness" of the Zues drive. Rear facing prop's, skeg, are mounted "up in a pod, built in trim tab, etc... Don't know all of the particular's, but btween the 2, picture for picture, I like the...... Frank,SeaPower

I am a little familar with the Zues being a in the business I'm in. I still like the conventional shaft arrangement myself. I would have to go with what I know, too many miles, hour's and year's on that old type set up. A properly setup shaft system (straight shaft, balanced prop, fit and machined coupling, properly aligned strut and a "no doubt about-it" engine alignmet) is rock solid and will be when these thing's are sitting on the garbage pile.
This is what happen's when you have engineer's given the freedom to try something new. It's not a bad thing. Every company want's to be the ONE with the next "Big Thing".It's how we got away from "oar's" in the first place. I'm not a believer in the new gear yet. I am a firm believer in simplicity and robustness when it comes to marine propulsion, that's it that's all. Frank,SeaPower
