A PETITION WAS MADE TO EXCLUDE CIRCLE HOOKS IN BIG BAITS SUCH AS MACKERALS, BONITAS AND SUCH......BUT SOME GENIUS CREW TO THE SOUTHERN TOLD HOGARTH THAT THEY CATCH BILLFISH ALL THE TIME WITH CIRCLES INSIDE BIG BAITS


I'M NOT FOR NOR AGAINST CIRCLES......WHAT I'M AGAINST IS THE ABSOLUTE POWER THAT THE NMFS HAS OVER THE AMERICAN PUBLIC..........IT'S THEIR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY,....I MEAN WATERWAY

I thought this caca was still on the table. We have no circle fishery at all here in Florida except live from a kite. We don't let NMFS push us around here and basically don't acknowledge them as a whole state. Effectively override every rule they try to enforce here. Actually ares are tougher but still we block their laws with our own...

They have reached beyond the bounds of what they were instituted for. Their rule is non binding in the recreational end as far as we are concerned. The rest of the states need to stop being such meow meows and crawl up their arse too. They need to be put back in their place or better yet disbanded...

Screw circle or anyone telling me what or how I'm gonna fish. I will be the first to go rebel and God help the first NMFS man that gets within a hundred yards of my boat.

Well if it did happen somebody better let the NMFS office down here know. A couple of their people I know from the south eastern regional office. I just crawled on them and they said its still just a proposal among many that is still being researched...
As for rogue stuff. The state of Florida does not recognize them as having the authority that they try to assert. None of the laws they are formed under or have jurisdiction over have any authority over rereational fisheries although they would like you to believe they do. They bully and euserp power any place they can and mislead the public into believing they have more powers than they do. They write illegitimate laws that any good second year lawyer can get tossed out of court in ten seconds.

NMFS is a foul disgusting pile of corrupt horse crap. I appologize to horses for that statement...

They will get the Jolly Roger hoisted and a attitude they can't believe if they come near me. I'm already sharpening my topsiders...

Before any of us get our panties in a bunch we ought to see what comes out of this first. There has been this shit laying on the table for years. Its directed at white marlin only and as far as my sources inside jknow that it is not set in stone yet. The vote isn't even scheduled til october...

The proposal was a negotiation involving endangered status of whites. Lures are exempt but naturals were on the the table for circle. I don't know that they differentiated large or small naturals again this was and should be still directed at whites...
We had some tournies go circle voluntary for circle on sail (especially live bait events) but no law is even proposed here...
