YFT/SWORDS MHC

Yesterday i was at the fish house(Homers) and watch the longline boats off load.Wish i had some pics 1 sword was a stud 540lbs dressed and 4000lbs of YFT.Talked to the Capt and was told they found the YFT in 1500fm along with the swords.This was on a 5 day trip.

Dang thats a slob sword....... Sounds like once again the YFT are coming up on the east side of the stream

What grade (year class) were the yellowfins?

Most the YFT were 35/40lbs a few Big eyes all looked to be 80lbs or more.On the INSHORE side 130fm he told me that they saw large schools of BFT busting bait.Ill be doing a 3 day trip leaveing on Tuesday and comeing back to off load the B-liners by Friday night.Then if the weather holds go back out looking for the YFT and Hoos,kings and triggers.Tuff way to make a $ but ya got to do what it takes to make it now.Also we start the 2010 Charter season in 2 weeks frist trip on the 27th book now before the weekends or gone.

Good to see some good fish being caught. Wouldn't it be nice to have YFT's here the size of some of those Big Eyes up around OI?...

You can hit 1500 fa in 75 miles with the dogleg around the shoals
