Never met you but maybe someday I will. Dont care about the personal attacks or issues. However I do care about fishing and people like myself who live and breath it. I will tell you I have enjoyed many of your videos and comments over the past year or so. You have a good thing going and you know it.

We all know that any figure thats in a public forum like we have here on SFC will be attacked by someone at sometime or another for reasons that are valid or invalid.

You know what i look at it like this, if you dont like someone, or like the things someone says, why the hell would you come into thier house and voice it.......theres the door it works both ways, you wouldnt have to hear a dam thing if you didnt enter said door in the first place. why do people feal the need to bash anyway, most likely thye dont actually even know each other. If someone has an opinion different and you dont like it just look at another thread, pretty simple. I see plenty of things that I disagree with, politics, fishing techniques, etc. I just disagree in my head and move on, after all why do I want to be an asshole bashing someones style. If your a beginner ask stupid questions and get answers, you gotta learn somehow, most of the people that are attacking others skills etc. are most likely "Dingbatters" anyway who spend 100 days blogging and 1 day offshore. Just let it go people! I have made friends from here by fishing together and that is the purpose, invite a few guys to go fishing, listen to their techniques, you may learn something, and make a few friends, that wouldnt be that bad. Then come on here and tell us about your day offshore, or even catfishing, I dont care.

Personally, I've been missing the "old days" myself. Love to see your forum get back to what it was. IMO, there's really no sense in posting something only to have it buried by all the drama. I'm not making an excuse for not posting - just sharing a bit of the frustration that I've had lately knowing what this used to be. You can't please everyone all the time but there are guys like me who learn from not only your contributions but from the discussions that follow. Now I'm not sure if that makes me a Box groupie or what ever, I frankly don't care. As far as character goes, I remember when I came down to MHC with some buddies who booked a charter with Shane on the SecondToNone. I called you looking for hotel recommendations and you offered me your place! Who in this day and age does something like that? I'll never forget it and I appreciate your generosity with both the sharing of you knowledge and your time. People say that we all want this site to be different than the other "bashing" sites, well my suggestion is show some discipline, Man the F up and make it so instead of talking about it.

...........only met Marty for @5mins last summer at SunSet Marina on saturday, before the start of the '07 WMO, he was rigging baits on the back of a boat, Sea Splendor(i believe?) before the BIG Show but he took time-out to talk wth me and answer some questions...We wished him and the rest of the crew "good luck" and went back to work, other than talking wth him on the internet, we've never interacted together...I consider myself a very good judge of people and Marty's Good People
