Ahhh man this topic is everywhere and seems to affect each of us anglers the same even though all these women are different. I seen it with a lot of friends that I fish with, you know the same old drama about not spending enough quality time together and going fishing instead. I think they think a lot of the time that fishing is more important than them. However, they seem to forget that this is a seasonal thing and for most of us once the boat is on the trailer or blocks we are all theirs. My last relationship pretty much ended because of fishing. I can't tell you how much drama I have dealt with over this topic, countless fights, and then making up and having her say she understands only to fight again with her the next weekend when I said I was going fishing. I tried taking her and getting her more involved to show her how badass fishing can be but she wasn't into it and got sick a lot. The girl I am kinda dating now is all about it and has been out offshore on a tuna trip and she has been out on plenty of Striper trips and she loves it and doesn't give me any shit about it.

I don't think there is much of a solution to a girl that gives you crap about fishing except to shit can her ass. Good luck to ya man. This will be a never ending battle.

Patience & keep looking..... Hang out on the forums & shores and you'll find her! There are plenty of us women out there who LOVE fishing.

I love to go fishing and hate to be left behind. I think it's just a matter of finding the right girl. If keeping every little hair in place is important to her - she's probably not going to enjoy fishing. If she has fancy fingernails - she's probably not the type. If she's the type that fixes her makeup every ten minutes - you can keep looking. I think a lot depends on where/what you're looking.

Sometimes you just don't want to clean the porta potti. Every once in a while its nice to be able to hang it off the side of the boat and save the smell of a days worth of piss in the porta potti.

Boy do i get pissed when BeagleMan tries to slip the boat out the yard with out me!!!!! Sometimes I think I like it better than he does. LOL sometimes I will even load up the boat, and get it all hooked up to the truck for him.

My lady A.K.A " Pitchick" fished a whole Bluefin season in MHC living on the boat. And mates every weekend charter on my boat from May-Nov. after working 40hrs a week. Runs a twin screw boat like a rock star a treats me like a king..
