    AND THE WINNER IS

I did this for a specific reason. I had all sorts of where is video but my puter took a crap and I didn't want this drag out more then it needed too but thanks for all the guessing this was fun. Capt John Sorry. You named every place but it.

The reason I did this is to dispell the rumors. I have been down to this place 10 times and twice in the last 6 months. While down in morehead for the kids tournament my nephew let it out to someone that i was going. He said be careful. that place is dangerous and the guy I know that goes their is afraid to go back. BULLSHIT. That is the typical response I get from people who have never been their. I heard this and I heard that about the place. Well get off you butt and go down their. jake went with me for the second time and Doug and Bill went for the first. Bill under warnings from people.

Venezuela is fine. excellent for that matter. Bill and Donnie could not understand for the life of them what the people were talking about. The fishing is great, the best in the world. The runs are short. The weather is beautiful. Sure it is not the most sightly place in the world and no I would not take the family their for a vacation but not because I feel unsafe. Nicholas is going with me next time. But rather because their is not really a whole lot to do other the fish. But damn people where can you see 26 blue marlin in 3 days? I didn't hit it just right. I didn't get lucky. I just went their with 3 friends and experienced what these guy do in April. Sure we may have had a few more bites then others and fishing is still fishing and you may hit a tough streak but the next boat maybe saw 18 or 20 in that period.

I fished with Capt Butch Cox on the Prime Time. Maybe one of the finest billfish captains I have ever fished with. Not because we saw so many fish but becuase of the way he teaches us. Of the way he can call them out 1 minute before the get their. Most of our teasers bites came on the left brite teaser for two and a half days. towards the end of the 3 third day it became calm and overcast. He said I bet they start coming on the right teaser which was a bit darker. The next three blue marlin bites came on the right teaser. COME ON! In october he told me to go to the left flat. I ran to corner and picked up the rod. He said, take it easy. He ain't their yet but he will be in about 15 second. Sure as shit he was their in 15 seconds. He is unbelievable. Not just in Venezuela but everywhere he fishes. I encourage you all who love to billfish to go and fish with one of the great boats down their. Primetime with butch cox, Southpaw with bubba carter, waterman with jimmy grant, Vintage with Hans or Sniper (a VA beach boat) I am sure their are others but I am not familiar with them. Their is a local boat called Joropo.

Now if you want to fish with Butch but still don't want to go to Venezuela do yourself a favor and book him for Punta Cana in May and June. Great family resort, short runs and plenty of shots at whites and larger blues every day.

IF you are seriously interested please send me a PM and I will work with you on any of these trips. Butch fishes almost every day and ain't big on the computer. I have no affiliation businesswise, I am just his friend and told him that I would help him out.

Congrats Tim - Gradywhite - You get the bar and t-shirts. send me a pm about what bar you would like.

have you ever seen such an odd color pattern

Lots more to come but I will do them in the morning.

Venezuela was already said a long time ago. It did sound like that. I have a friend who runs a boat down there. He's been crushing the billfish just like you guys did.
