Definitely not the prettiest fish in the sea but what an amazing creature!!! It's hard to believe how big they can get just by swimming around with their mouth open! Wow! Awesome footage!

did i ever tell you about the time , My son was 16 and we were making an early am run to the inshore tuna grounds in Cape Cod Bay abord our 18 foot Edgewater ?

we were making 35 knots FAC and when all of a sudden one of these monsters jumped straight out of the water dead a head

I pulled back rather quickly and shut down and for the next 30 minutes we were graced by 4 of these Baskers just hung under us rubbing the hull of our tiny vessel

I think we had some serious Shrinkage ,They are Freakin Huge !!!!!
